Spring Recruitment
What is recruitment?Recruitment is the selection process one must go through in order to be a member of a cooperative house.

For Formal Recruitment Only
Men’s Recruitment
Men will arrive at the Physics Building Room 112 at 10:00am on January 28th or February 4th 2012. The rushee is able to pick which day works best in their personal schedule. The men will tour the 5 men’s houses within the Cooperative System and meet each of the active members of each. The men will spend approximately 50 minutes at each house. At the houses they will be able to learn more about each individual house to help them pick their favorite of the houses. Dress for Men’s Recruitment is business casual and all meals will be provided by the houses. Also, transportation will be provided for the gentlemen to get to each of the 5 houses in a timely manner. Under extenuating circumstances, Recruitment arrangements can be made with Carrie Rhoads, Vice President for Recruitment. After all the men have be given a tour of each house they will then be transported back to Physics where the houses will give an individual 5-8 minute interview to the rushees that are interested in their house. The interview is just so the houses get to know the rushees better and for the rushees to ask questions about the certain houses, if wanted. The house will pass out personal invitations to the gentlemen they are interested in living in their house the following fall semester. The invitation is for Informal Recruitment, February 19th or 20th, 2011. Again, whichever days work best for the rushee. The house will be open all day for the rushee to come back to a more relaxed atmosphere and get to know more about the guys living at the house. After, the rushees have interviewed with each of the wanted houses they are able to leave and have completed Formal Recruitment for the Cooperative System.
Women’s Recruitment
Women will arrive on January 28th or February 4th 2012, at 8:00am whichever fits best, at the Physics Building Room 112. Women will tour the houses and meet the active members of each house, spending approximately one hour at each of the 7 houses. Dress for Formal Recruitment will be business wear. Meals and transportation will be provided for the ladies. Under extenuating circumstances, Recruitment arrangements can be made with Carrie Rhoads, Vice President for Recruitment. After Formal Recruitment, the rushee will receive invitations in the mail inviting them back to the women’s houses for Informal Recruitment. Women may only attend Informal Recruitment for the houses that they receive invitations back to. Dress for Informal Recruitment will be business casual. After Informal Recruitment, the rushee will rank the houses in order of her preference. The houses will contact the rushees they selected to be members within the week following Informal Recruitment. Rushees will only be contacted by one house. At this time she can accept a bid to live in that cooperative house.
Eligibility to Participate in Recruitment
Students must be enrolled or considering enrollment for the fall semester of 2010 at Purdue University. There is 2.25 minimum GPA requirement to participate in Cooperative Recruitment and at least a 2.25 Graduate Index or Semester GPA to be initiated. Most houses have their own minimum GPA requirement, higher than what PCC requires. Students must be able to reach the GPA specified by each individual house and classified as a full time student by Purdue University. If currently a senior in high school, please include your high school GPA. It is not necessary for high school students to convert to a 4.0 scale.Contacts
